Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin yesterday met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zhalgas Adilbayev at the latter’s request.
At the meeting, the sides mutually exchanged views on operating charter flight between Mongolia and Kazakhstan to mutually repatriate their citizens. Over 1000 Mongolian nationals have applied to return to their home country from Kazakhstan. While, the most of over 100 citizens of Kazakhstan, who wish to return home, are in Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
Deputy PM U.Enkhtuvshin informed that Mongolia is planning to charter flight to Kazakhstan, probably in the first half of next month as 21-day mandatory hospital isolation of some people who had returned from overseas countries will end around that time and more isolation rooms will become available for new returnees from abroad. “I believe that the Government of Kazakhstan could contain and control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the near future” said the Deputy PM.
