The National Emergency Commission has decided to deliver aid worth USD 1 million from Mongolia to the United States of America on 21 June.
On June 1, the Mongolian Cabinet decided to provide humanitarian assistance worth USD 1 million to the United States of America to help the country cope with COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S has requested that the assistance be directed to protecting doctors and staff working on the frontline of the outbreak.
Therefore, the protective clothing and equipment worth USD 1 million will be delivered on a charter flight on 21 June. On its return, the MIAT chartered flight will repatriate some over 250 Mongolian nationals back from Seattle.
This month, Mongolia plans to repatriate over 2300 of its nationals with nine chartered flights by MIAT, Mongolian airlines.
